Kenya’s most spectacular motorsport event is back, and fans across the country will be able to follow every stage of it live from their screens.
The 2026 WRC Safari Rally gets underway this week, with DStv and GOtv confirmed as the official broadcasters for the third consecutive year. The rally was flagged off on Thursday March 12th at the Wildlife Research and Training Institute in Naivasha and concludes this Sunday March 15th at Hell’s Gate National Park.

This year’s edition is the fifth since the Safari Rally returned to the World Rally Championship calendar and serves as the third round of the 2026 WRC season, following the Monte Carlo Rally and Rally Sweden. A total of 46 drivers will compete across 20 stages, including 17 Kenyan drivers carrying the flag on home soil.
The entry list features defending champion Elfyn Evans, 2023 winner Sébastien Ogier, Thierry Neuville, and Grégoire Munster among the international field. On the Kenyan side, reigning African rally champion Karan Patel and Hamza Anwar are among the local stars competing against the world’s best on terrain they know better than anyone.

“The Safari Rally is one of the most iconic motorsport events in the world and a proud moment for Kenya on the global stage,” said Nzola Miranda, Managing Director of MultiChoice Kenya. “Through DStv and GOtv, fans across the country will be able to follow every stage of the rally live, with expert commentary and in-depth analysis that truly brings the excitement of the WRC to life.”
The rally is broadcast on DStv Channel 228 from the Family package and above, and on GOtv Channel 64 from the GOtv Plus package and above, starting from KSh 999.
