Across Africa, women have long been the driving force behind the continent’s most compelling stories, on screen, on the field and behind the camera.

This March, CANAL+ and MultiChoice are putting that fact front and centre with a dedicated Women’s Month campaign that spans more than 35 countries.

The campaign, titled “We Are… Because She Is,” is anchored by a 90-second film produced in both English and French, broadcast across the CANAL+ Group’s channels and social media platforms. It pays tribute to the actresses, directors, producers, athletes and creators whose work shapes how African audiences see themselves and the world around them.

Closer to home, DStv and GOtv viewers have a strong local lineup to look forward to on Maisha Magic Plus. Lulu airs Monday to Friday at 8:30 PM, Lazizi runs Monday to Friday at 8:00 PM and Single Kiasi Season 3 airs every Friday at 9:30 PM, three female-driven productions that reflect the depth and range of African women’s stories.

On the international front, the month’s programming includes Wonder Woman on Saturday March 7th at 11:15 PM on MM4, Ocean’s Eight on Sunday March 8th at 10:55 PM on MM4, Miss Congeniality 2 on Wednesday March 11th at 9:30 PM on MM3 and Lucy on Friday March 20th at 9:00 PM on MM4.
