Two of Kenya’s most recognizable screen talents are back together, this time on a show where power struggles, buried secrets and dangerous ambitions are already threatening to tear everything apart.

Pascal Tokodi and Azziad Nasenya, who first shared a screen on the long-running telenovela Selina, have joined the cast of Maisha Magic Plus’ Lazizi, produced by award-winning filmmaker Reuben Odanga.

The two will enter a story already in motion, one that centres on a powerful sugar factory mogul whose bid for the Governor’s seat is less about ambition and more about survival, as ghosts from his past begin to surface.

Tokodi joins as Marcus, a quietly authoritative entrepreneur in his mid-thirties whose approach to power is notably understated. “Marcus is a man whose strength lies in restraint. He listens before he acts. He doesn’t need to dominate to be powerful; his presence does the work,” Tokodi said.

Nasenya plays Natasha, a calculated and image-conscious woman in her late twenties for whom status and relevance are everything. “Natasha is bold, layered, and extremely intentional. She’s a woman who knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. But beneath all that confidence is vulnerability, a fear of losing her place and being forgotten,” Nasenya said.

The series already features a strong ensemble including Helen Keli, Vivian Nyawira, Isaac Okoyo, and Zander Adika, among others.

Tokodi’s debut airs this Monday, February 23rd, on Maisha Magic Plus DStv Channel 163 and GOtv Channel 3 at 8pm. Nasenya follows on March 2nd. New episodes run Monday to Friday at the same time.
