Popular drama series Single Kiasi returns for its fourth season on September 17 exclusively on Showmax, continuing the story of three women facing intense personal and professional challenges.

The new season continues from last season’s dramatic conclusion, with lawyer Sintamei, played by Gathoni Mutua, struggling with guilt following a night of poor decisions with Nick, portrayed by Lenana Kariba. As Sintamei throws herself into building her law firm’s reputation, she encounters a mysterious newcomer who presents her with dangerous temptations that could derail her carefully constructed life.

The romantic dynamics shift significantly as Rebecca, played by Faith Kibathi, finds her relationship with Nick under siege from his family. His manipulative mother and condescending aunt create obstacles that test the couple’s bond, adding layers of complexity to their budding romance.

Meanwhile, Mariah, brought to life by Minne Kariuki, emerges from the previous season’s emotional devastation with renewed determination. Having endured heartbreak and public humiliation, she refuses to remain a victim and seeks empowerment through a new relationship where she maintains control.

Show co-directors and co-producers Phillipe Bresson and Grace Kahaki have crafted a season that pushes each character to their breaking point. “We are pushing the girls to their absolute limits. Every decision has a consequence and they will be forced to fight tooth and nail for their careers, their relationships and their sanity,” said Phillipe.

Grace Kahaki adds insight into the season’s thematic focus, explaining, “We also wanted to explore what happens when strong women are pushed into the deep end. Do they sink or swim? Viewers will see them fight for survival in Nairobi’s concrete jungle like never before.”

The returning cast features familiar faces including Kevin Maina, Wanjira Longauer from Disconnect: The Wedding Planner, Hellen Keli known for her work in Selina, Jimmy Gathu from The Chocolate Empire and Joy Kendi. Fresh talent joins the production with Brian Ogola from Second Family, Xavier Ywaya of Jiji fame, Maqbul Mohammed from Crime & Justice and Silayio Neema who appeared in Qware.

Single Kiasi has maintained its position as one of Showmax’s most watched African productions for three consecutive years.

The series recently received recognition at the 2025 Zanzibar International Film Festival, earning a nomination for Best TV Drama Series in East Africa. Additionally, the show garnered four nominations at the 2024 Kalasha Awards, including the prestigious Best TV Drama category.

Season 4 of Single Kiasi premieres September 17 exclusively on Showmax, where subscribers can follow the continuing journey of these three women as they face their most challenging chapter yet.
