Spotify has announced plans to host live recording sessions featuring three prominent Kenyan podcasts on September 6, 2025, in what marks the streaming platform’s first such event in the country.

The day long event at Shamba Café will feature TMI Podcast at 10:00 AM, The Sandwich Podcast at 2:00 PM and So This Is Love from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Each show will record a special live episode in front of an audience, with tickets being sold separately through Hustle Sasa.

TMI Podcast, hosted by Lydia and Murugi Munyi, has built a significant following through what is described as unapologetically honest content featuring unfiltered conversations and sharp humour.

The Sandwich Podcast is characterized by its easygoing vibe, quick-fire wit and hilarious takes on everyday Kenyan life, with hosts known for playful banter and running inside jokes that make audiences feel like they’re catching up with their funniest friends.

So This Is Love, hosted by Julia Gaitho, is known for vivid, narrative-style storytelling on the highs and lows of love and promises to take audiences on an emotional journey from the euphoric to the bittersweet.

The event reflects the growth of Kenya’s podcast scene, where creators are addressing topics from wellness and finance to feminism and humour. These shows have developed dedicated listener bases and are contributing to conversations around contemporary Kenyan society.
