Ghanaian singer Gyakie has dropped her new track “Unconditional,” her second release this year as she builds toward her first full-length album.
The R&B artist, whose real name is Jackline Acheampong, continues her hot streak following the viral success of “Sankofa” released earlier in 2025. At 25, she’s showing clear growth as both a vocalist and songwriter with this latest effort.
Speaking about the new single, Gyakie explained its deeper meaning. “Unconditional is a celebration of deep, fearless love wrapped in rhythm and groove,” she said. “It’s about presence, vulnerability and truth, the kind of love that doesn’t ask for anything but feeling.”
The track signals a new phase for an artist who first caught attention in 2020 with her “Seed” EP. Since then, Gyakie has steadily built a reputation as one of the continent’s standout voices in modern R&B, mixing contemporary sounds with her Ghanaian roots.
Her upcoming debut album will dig into personal territory, tackling themes around love, identity and late night reflection with honesty and elegance. “Unconditional” offers fans a preview of what’s coming on the full project.

The release comes through her ongoing deal with Sony Music West Africa, which has helped position her alongside other African artists breaking into global markets. The partnership seems to be working, giving Gyakie the platform to reach new audiences while staying true to the authentic storytelling that first made her stand out.
With “Unconditional” now available, Gyakie looks ready to expand her fanbase ahead of the debut album, keeping the genuine approach that brought her this far while showing she’s ready for bigger stages.
